Founded out of necessity, our owner and Managing director moved to a stunning location but secluded within the Peak District National Park and on the subject of Broadband took BT’s word that a good service was available.
Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. But with years of IT experience and research into usable broadband services, satellite broadband was brought in. Clearly struggling with this themselves, the local community started to ask how he had achieved broadband in such a rural area. Initially, we supplied free advice and even installation. Word spread quickly and it soon became apparent that this would be a full-time occupation.
With this being the case, NotSpot Broadband was born and through straight talking, consistent service and an “easy to deal with” attitude we have become a major national player. What makes us unique is our investment to become a multi-faceted organisation that offers a wide range of solutions and expertise.

Over 30 years in IT and not showing his age, or so he thinks. Lawrence has a wealth of IT skill and industry experience and has developed, and grown, a number of very successful companies. Being awarded industry entrepreneur of the year on two occasions and receiving recognition for directing one of the fastest growing companies in the UK IT industry.
Living in the Peak District National park, Lawrence knows from first hand experience how difficult it can be to maintain a good broadband service in such remote areas and the issues this can cause with trying to live day-to-day in the modern world.
